Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 Out Now

Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 is now available for download. This is the second Beta release of our next generation Firefox browser, to be released later this year, and it is being made available to our developer and testing community for compatibility testing and to solicit feedback.

    about fucking time. on my end, flash and embedded vidoes didnt work at all. and nice to know the automatc update feature in 1.5 β actually did something useful…

    Yeah same here with the Flash stuff. Now were you able to download the update through the built in updater? It still hasn’t appeared for me.

    nope i just downloaded it from the site. actually dude i just found out the adblock extension is causing it not to work. bc at work i got 1.5 too and it worked there, just noticed it now. read on mozilla forums like two seconds after i posted it

    Well yes and no. The small 700k download failed, but when Firefox rebooted it was aware of the failure and downloaded the full version. The full version installed like an auto-update should. There was no clicking next. Hopefully the smaller file will work next time, but if it doesn’t no biggie. A 10MB is nothing today.

    did it ask you if you wanted to me updated or you had to do it. at work i want to make this easiest as possible, i am hoping i can push it through the network as a policy when an update is released

    It never notified me. I just clicked on check for updates in help menu.
