Today in school three people from my networking class had to do a mock interview in front of the class. I was one of those lucky few. About three weeks ago we had some people from PPL come into my networking class and they started a brief class on writing resumes and doing interviews. We first learned how to write a resume, and then we submitted our resumes. From the resumes we submitted, PPL had their hiring review board go over and choose six of them. Those six people then had to do an interview in front of the networking class, which is what I did today. From there I guess they’re going to decided who gets the job, even though no job is involved. However, myself and the other five people that were chosen for interviews are going to get to go to PPL for a shadowing experience.
Anyway, I think my interview went very well. I covered just about every topic they were looking for with the best possible answers I could think of. I showed how I can easily adapt to environments, I’m willing to learn, and other numerous qualities. Even though the interview at the moment mean nothing, it was still a great experience. I now have a better idea of what an interview is like, and the experience will hopefully aid me in the future interviews. And you never know, down the road, since I was able to get an interview, I could possibly be offered an internship. Who knows what the future holds.

To be yourself, I think it’s the most important for an interview.
