I regret to inform you that Serenity will mark the end of the Firefly series. Why does this always happen to good science fiction shows? It seems that people don’t even know the show exists until it’s too late.
I have just recently become a fan of the series, and when I say recently, I mean recently. Just this past Wednesday I watched Serenity because I had been hearing great reviews. After watching it I instantly became a fan. The story was well written and it kept you entertained, unlike the majority of movies nowadays. After watching Serenity I immediately wanted to check out the original series, Firefly, and that’s exactly what I have been doing this past week.
Now the sad news comes today. Even though I’m not finished with watching all of the episodes of Firefly, it’s still a let down knowing that once I’m done, there will be no more. Well, it was fun while it lasted. Maybe, just maybe, the DVD sales will skyrocket and convince Joss Whedon to make a sequel. I know I’ll be doing my part by picking up the DVD after Christmas.

yeah, good find ron. we watched a couple episodes of firefly in my literature of fantasy and science fiction class, and the show does rock. we’re watching serenity in class tommorow and thursday.
There’s a class at Liberty that teaches Literature of Fantasy and Science Fiction! Damn, I’m missing out. Well, it’s too late to protest at Dieruff for such a class. Once I start college I’m sure I’ll have opportunities for fun classes like that.
