The WordPress developers have been hard at work this past month getting WordPress 2.0.1 ready for public consumption, and it’s finally ready. WordPress 2.0.1 is a bug fix release for WordPress 2.0 and is a necessity if you’ve installed WordPress 2.0.
I’ve been testing 2.0.1 since the nightly builds have gone back online, and this release is stable. Every single bug I found in 2.0 has since been squashed. The WordPress developers have really taken their time on 2.0.1, waiting a full 24 hours for new bug reports before releasing it. If you’re a WordPress user and you’ve been holding out on 2.0, now is the time to upgrade. Just make sure you check the plugin compatibility list before committing yourself.
