Mac OSx86 Users Have a Voice Once Again

For the past 24 hours, OSx86ers have lived in silence. The two major and only forums discussing OS X on the x86 platform, OSx86 Project and Win2OSX, were shutdown due to DMCA cease and desist orders regarding links to hacked 10.4.4 files. The silence is now over. OSx86 Project is back just as it was before, minus the links to the hacked files. Win2OSX is still down, presumably due to that being the main forum for hacking discussion.

As an OSx86er myself, I’m glad to see at least one of the forums reopened. OSx86 Project has always been my main source for finding out what applications have gone Universal. It has also been a great Mac-n00by source, as the majority of its users are experiencing OS X for the first time. It’s one of those things you don’t realize how important it is until it’s gone. Luckily for me, this was just a scare. OSx86 Project is alive and kicking once again.
