This month’s header is a reflection of the current state of my life, busy. Like most people my age, I currently have too many things to do and not enough time to do them. This past month has intensified that feeling, and at the moment March doesn’t look any better.
March is the We the People competition, which is a nation-wide Constitutional knowledge competition. The competition takes place in rounds, with the state round occurring first. Seniors from schools all over Pennsylvania who’s class qualified are taking part in this. Since my AP government class qualified, we’re heading to Philadelphia to compete.
The competition consumes a good portion of my free time, since intense research must be done to completely master the subject we’re covering. My group and I have been practicing everyday this week in preparation for the real competition late next week. The competition is done in front of state congressmen and state judges, so we really have to know what we’re talking about. There’s no room for slacking now.
On top of the intense competition, I’m in the midst of the hunt for scholarships for college next year. Having nothing saved for college really puts the pressure on me to get as much financial aid as possible. I don’t want to be paying loans for the rest of my life, so I have to try and defer my costs now. I know it will all work out in the end, but just at this point in time things are stressful.
So that’s what’s going on in my life. If updates get scarce around here this month, you’ll know why. I’m trying to balance everything in my life, but sometimes that’s just not possible.

Like the new header, especially the motion blur on top. Is that in Philly?
Good luck in the competition, I know you’ll win!
I should had made a better effort in finding scholarships. As I now owe $39,000 for my stupid loads and it will take 9 years to pay off
Yes, that is Philly. As you may have guessed the header has a double meaning. It shows life is busy, but it’s also where I’m heading in a week.
Also, thanks for the good luck wishes.
Loans? NO! Where do/did you go to college?
I went to Monmouth University. A private college in New Jersey. A big mistake I know. It would been much higher, but my dad paid a lot off more me already. And of course I got an auto loan that will take me 5 years to pay off.
It reminds me of the intro to Saturday night live, even though it’s Philly, because the would show cars moving like that, it’s too yellow for my tastes, but it still looks great.
