Xbox 360 Skin for XBMC

For those of you who own a modded Xbox, BlackBolt and his team are working on bringing the Xbox 360 interface to Xbox Media Center. While there have been other attempts at porting the 360 interface to the Xbox, none have looked this good. The skin, dubbed MC360, is really starting to look like a pixel by pixel replica of the 360 dashboard.

If you love the media capabilities of XBMC, but long for the interface of the 360, it looks like you won’t have to compromise anymore. You can have both a great media player and a great interface all in one neat little package. Look for MC360 later this spring. I know I will.

Looks cool, I’m also glad they used the change theme option like in the 360, because I really love the ‘carbon’ theme.

I’ve been following that thread for about a month. I am really excited about it. It sucks that they keep pushing the release date back though.

It looks as if they have set a release date of April 7th. While it’s a little while off, I think I can wait about a month.

Yeah, the date was set for February, but the last I saw was Spring/Summer. It’s good to know that it will be April 7th. I cant wait.

Yeah, and possibly XBMC 2.0. It was announced today that XBMC is in a feature freeze to squash all existing bugs for 2.0. I don’t know how long it will take them, but I’m looking forward to the final bug-free release.

yeah it’s delayed. but I guess we’ll just have to wait, no biggie. The only thing that annoys me, is that I upgraded to XBMC 2.0 and there aren’t any compatable skins out thus far. A lot of people are giving Blackbolt shit about this delay, and he isn’t exactly being very mature about it, in regard to feedback either. I think people should just relax and wait for it to happen.
