AppZapper Might Be Free!

Today macZOT in cooperation with AppZapper have a great deal going on. For every person that blogs about the promotion, they’re lowing the price of AppZapper by $0.05. That means if 259 bloggers mention AppZapper and macZOT, AppZapper will be completely free! If you’d like to help lower the price of AppZapper, blog about it and then post a link to your blog entry on macZOT’s comment form.

I normally wouldn’t post so called “spam” like this, but I’ve been really dying to get AppZapper. Sure it’s just a Mac uninstaller, but once you try it, you’ll be hooked. However, it’s not that good that you’d pay the price for it. So, if it’s free that would be perfect.

Update: AppZapper is now free until midnight. Great work Blogosphere! Get your copy on their website.

Seems cool but I am fine with uninstalling by dragging the icon to the trash…

Yeah, dragging the app to trash doesn’t work for all apps. There are still some preferences that linger, or if the app installs daemons they still remain.

Regarding the missing Apple uninstaller, I have a feeling Leopard will have AppZapper or Apple’s own program bundled to handle uninstalls. Also, I don’t think Windows really has the uninstaller right. Have you ever seen how many registry entries remain? And besides, Windows doesn’t really have a uninstaller. It’s up to each application to create their own. Microsoft just links the uninstaller in the Add/Remove programs.

    Agreed.

Also true… at leat when i make installers for work, i make sure they uninstall properly… (and w/o removing any files that a user might had stored there by accident)
