It’s time to come clean. You may have noticed that in the past two weeks my blog has been rather limited on content. Sure, I had the Verizon post and followup, but that’s nothing compared to my normal entry-output levels. Since you’re an integrated and important part of my website, I feel it’s important you know the reasoning behind this.
I just started a new job. Starting this new job has been strenuous on my schedule. For the past two weeks all I’ve been doing is going to school, then work, and sleeping. That kind of schedule doesn’t leave much room for blogging. The schedule is mainly my fault; I didn’t do a good job communicating how many hours I was looking for, and my new employer assumed I was looking for a lot. He ended up scheduling me for thirty-three hours this week, which is quite a feat for a full-time student. Luckily I got this miscommunication worked out and next week I’ll have a more manageable twenty hour week.
I still care about my blog and I want it to thrive. I don’t plan on abandoning it anytime in the near future, so rest asure, cavemonkey50.com is here to stay. I just didn’t have enought time to post even the shortest bit of information, which is why it took me this long to even write this.
Now that my schedule is more managable, expect to see my website come back to life. It won’t be tomorrow, though. Tomorrow I’m going on an all-day trip to Washington D.C. However, Saturday after work looks free, so I should easily be able to write a blog entry then. I have great one planned which has been in my mind for a number of days now. Until then, catch up on some sleep. We could all use some more sleep. ![]()

Where is your new job?
I work at Redners (a local supermarket chain) as a cashier.
Good luck on your new job! And you’re doing an all day trip to DC? It’s about 8 hours round trip, isn’t it? What will you be doing there anyways?
That’s great. There’s nothing like a good and honest job at your local supermarket. lol Jonathan I think he’s going to be a cashier. Good luck with your job.
Yeah, it’s eight hours round trip. We left at 6am this morning and got back a couple of minutes ago. That gave us about five and a half hours of time down there.
The trip was just a senior / junior class trip that the social studies department schedules every year. I went last year and had a blast. This year was even better. I’ll post some of my pictures on my Flickr account later tonight.
Thanks. I’m really enjoying it. My managers are really easy to work with and like screwing with the customers. For example, the other night we closed all the lines for a couple of minutes. Some customers got pissed but it was worth it to see their expressions.
Ron, you should really use gallery2, its easy to install, hosts on your own site, and i think a lot better than flickr. i have one up at http://jwnrb.com/gallery2/
yea DC is great my sister goes to Uni of MD College Park and i love going to DC when i visit her down there. that is quite funny about closing lines, when i was in HS, my friend Dan and I used to put signs on the guidence office and it read “Closed Today, All Day” and i waited in the corner watching their confused faces. it was rather an inside joke as my school closed the library like periods 1,3,6,9 (as it was announced in the morning, it was just funny to do nonetheless).
