Apple Releases New Get a Mac Ads

Tonight Apple has released three new ads in its Get a Mac ad campaign. The general theme between these three new ads is of course PC bashing, highlighting the power and versatility of Macs over Windows. “Out of the Box” shows how Macs can be used straight from the box, “Work vs. Home” shows how Macs are perfect for having fun, and “Touché” brings up Apple’s new secret weapon, Boot Camp.

Out of the three new ads my favorite is certainly “Touché”. After the first few seconds, I couldn’t help but think “pwnd”. It brings up a great point, and the way the ad is done just makes you smile and laugh. I look forward to seeing this new ad on TV, and I’m sure it’s definitely going to raise some eyebrows amongst the non-technicial public.

Ohh nice catch. I also like Touche. I like how they have started putting the macbooks at the end of the commercials instead of the iMac. =D

Sweeet ads! I like them. Especially now that I’m a Mac user!

@ Paul: I still saw the iMacs.

I think the out of the box one is funny. However, I have to say that when I get a new machine I like to delete trial software, download drivers, etc. I find that stuff fun. I guess its because I like to do things all manually and I’m more of a power-user.

I know what you’re trying to say, but if I installed Windows XP on your computer you would be ready to go too. Microsoft isn’t putting the trial software on, it’s the computer manufactures.

Alright, you raise a valid point Ron. I didn’t think of it like that. Although, installing Win Xp takes longer, I think. Maybe I have just been boggled because of all the slooooowwwwww lab installs. Haha, good times.

well, i didnt really like the mac ads, althought the idea behind them is great. what i used to say as an excuse for not having a mac is that they can’t really play games(i’m 16 if you were wondering)but now they released boot camp. anyways, i still doubt i’m gonna be a mac user anytime soon. i like PCs so much more, besides, you can customize it so much more easily.
