What I’ve Been Up To

Since I’ve been rather quiet these past fews days and haven’t written anything at all, I thought you would like to know what’s been going on. To put it as simply as I can, I bought a MacBook. Everything since then has evolved around the MacBook. Here’s basically what’s been going on:

Thursday

  • Drove one hour to King of Prussia to purchase a MacBook at the Apple Store.
  • Purchased a 2.0Ghz White MacBook, 30GB iPod, Apple Keyboard, and HP Printer.
  • Checked out the King of Prussia Mall since I was down there.
  • Drove one hour back home.
  • Tried to install my 2GB RAM and 100GB hard drive upgrade. Realized I needed a 00 screw drive, so I went to Home Depot to get one.
  • Installed the upgrades.
  • Reinstalled OS X.
  • Copied all data from Hackintosh, and wiped the Hackintosh clean.
  • Began setting up MacBook with my data.

Friday

  • Drove to a meet-up spot to sell Hackintosh to someone.
  • Went to Double Click computer in Bethlehem since Apple Store was out of mini-DVI to DVI adapters.
  • Bought ice cream on the way back. Yum!
  • Installed all the applications I need on MacBook.
  • Sorted through Hackintosh data and deleted things I didn’t need.
  • Setup a temporary spot for the MacBook.
  • Cleaned permanent MacBook spot.
  • Placed MacBook in permanent spot and didn’t like it, so I looked for another permanent spot.
  • Cleaned new permanent spot.
  • Started cleaning the rest of my room since I was in that mood.
  • Setup MacBook in new permanent spot.
  • Copied and sorted through my Windows Box data.
  • Added three years worth of photos to iPhoto.
  • Relaxed and used MacBook.

Saturday

  • Filled out rebate forms for iPod and printer.
  • Moved wireless adapter that was used for Hackintosh to my Xbox. Replaced crappy Linksys Game Adapter.
  • Upped the wireless security of my network to WPA2 from WEP since the crappy Linksys adapter was out of the network.
  • Wrote this blog entry.

Wow, I certainly did a lot. I hope that justifies my lack of posting on my website. The good news is I’m done with all the setup, so I can finally enjoy my newly purchased MacBook. That also means I can write this amazing article that’s been on my mind for weeks. Unfortunately I have work later today, so that will be delayed until tomorrow. Now it’s time to relax for a few hours, then head to work.

[...] If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you’ll know that last week I took advantage of Apple’s Back to School promotion and bought myself an iPod Video. Since I rarely let any of my gadgets go naked, this past weekend I went iPod case hunting. After looking through my options, I decided on iSkin’s eVo3. [...]
