Getting OS X to run on a regular computer has been in the news a lot lately. People are just fed up with Windows but don’t want to trash their perfectly good machine just to run a different operating system. This is where OSx86 comes in. OSx86 is a specially modified version of OS X which will run on most newer computers. While it might not work 100%, it will allow you to fool around with OS X until you’re ready to switch.
I’ve been a big fan of OSx86 since the project first started, and have been to several sites to learn about it. Out of the sites talking about OSx86, there is none better than Insanely Mac, formerly the OSx86 Project. Insanely Mac has an awesome wiki which is constantly updated with what systems and components work, and what needs to be done to get them to function. They also have a great community ready to help you with any problems or hardware issues you run into while using OS X. So, if you want to run OS X on your beige box, check out Insanely Mac before you download that random torrent.

Thanks for the tip, I want to give it a shot, purify my PC. Disclaimer: I already own 2 Intel-based Macs, one of them an insanely expensive MacBook Pro.
