Blog Tag: 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

I’ve been tagged! Alright, I usually don’t participate in these things, but I couldn’t resist this one. This is how the game works: I tell you five things that you might not know about me, then I tag five people. They do the same, and each of them passes it on to 5 other people.

Apparently this game of blog tag was started by Jeff Pulver. He started by tagging the video blogger, Steve Garfield. From there, it went like this: Jeff Pulver > Steve Garfield > Steve Woolf > Rick Rey > Michael Ambs > Amanda Congdon > Jason Calacanis > C.K. Sample, III > Chris > Derek Van Vilet > David Cohn > Krzysztof Pajak > Smaran Dayal > Me.

Five things you didn’t know about me:

  • I’ve only moved once in my life. Well, technically my parents did. I moved from an apartment to my current house in Allentown, PA when I was six months old.
  • While I haven’t moved much, I have gotten around. Once, reaching all three extremes of the United States in under twelve hours. This occurred two summers ago when to get to Calgary, Canada I had to travel east to Newark for my flight, then have a layover in Houston, Texas, finally to reach my destination of Canada by crossing the US-Canada border. Oh, and since Calgary is right along the Rockies, I guess you could said I was almost all the way west, also.
  • In my younger years, I’ve been a Boy Scout in two different troops, played on a basketball team for two years, and played tee-ball/softball for five years.
  • My first computer was an old VTech learning machine, and my first “real” computer was a Packard Bell 486 which I received from fixing one of my middle school teacher’s home computer. Yes, that’s right. I was fixing computers before I owned one.
  • I’ve been on local, regional, and international TV. Local during the parades I used to participate in as a Boy Scout, regional as an innocent bystander when ABC came to film an event at my high school, and international when I sent a video to TechTV’s Netcam Network.

Now it’s your turn. Shaun Inman, Chris, Bryan Veloso, Michael Heilemann, and Tony Gumbel you’re up next.
