WordPress users, it’s once again time to break out those FTP programs and update. This time around it’s WordPress 2.1. The new version offers some great new features such as autosaving, an updated visual editor, a new upload manager, and an updated version of Akismet. Not only that, but WordPress’ backend has been completely overhauled, meaning WordPress is now faster and more efficient. Let’s hope that translates into more unused resources for web hosts and less sites going down due to the Digg Effect.
I’d just like to throw out there that all of my coding projects are WordPress 2.1 compatible. That means Blog Comments, Akismet Spam Count, Google Analyticator, Redirect to Page, and Clean and Mean should all function without any problems. Should an issue arise, please let me know and I’ll get right on it.
