Google IG’s Themes Hooked Me

Google Theme

Google IG’s themes seem to have struck a cord with me. Instead of loading up cavemonkey50.com, my browser now loads Google IG as my homepage. Why the sudden change? Google’s newly unveiled themes look amazing. I literally can’t stop looking at them. Sure, I still think Google IG’s widgets are nothing compared to other services, but I managed to make my page useful for the sake of looking at a nice homepage. Most likely this will be a short term experiment, but I’m going to try and make the most of it.

What’s your take on Google’s new themes? Do you think Google IG will be able to keep up with competitors such as Netvibes?

I absolutely love the new themes! Actually made me switch my homepage from Newsvine to Google. I’ve just added the top news and tech feeds from Newsvine to my homepage.

All of the themes are good. I’m using “beach”.

Yeah, I saw the Easter eggs. I hope Google continues to add more images to the themes so they don’t get boring.
