Great news. I spent some time the past fews days updating my plugins, and now all supported plugins are WordPress 2.7 compatible. This means you can upgrade without worries later tonight or tomorrow and continue enjoying my plugins.
In fact, for those Podcasting users out there, you’ll be enjoying Podcasting even more. Over the past few months I have been slaving away adding more features to Podcasting. That release is now available. While 2.0 is still not out of beta, I feel confident enough with my code to call it the official version. Let me know what you think of the new version.
Finally, you will also notice there are quite a few plugins that I have dropped support for. These are plugins that never really found a great user base or are now obsolete. I only have so much time to work with, so unfortunately those plugins are no longer supported. If anyone wants to take over the development of any of those plugins, feel free to. I will happily give you commit access and a redirect if you’re committed to maintaining the plugin.

thanks for doing the research! that was so helpful.
I apologize for the error. An update slipped out last night that was not ready. Updating to 2.24 will correct this issue.
Thanks for the update.
Going to try it out later on my test WordPress
The Podcast plugin is wonderful – I’m using beta 12, because it’s still working without any bugs.
looking at the actual post, it [podcast] actuall disappeard. trying to insert again resulted in
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_remote_head() in /…./……./……_…./oneighturbo.com/wp-content/plugins/podcasting/podcasting.php on line 981
Try beta 16, just released.
Ronald, you’re a genius. This is sooo easy to use. I’m running a presentation on podcasting on Friday to a group of automotive communicators – I’m actually going to take them through the process right up to posting. I’ll be demonstrating this as part of the process. Good job.
One minor glitch, the “Simply click the play button to hear the podcast” text is stretched across the page. Any suggestions? http://net-mentor.com/wordpress/?p=30
Peter, that’s a result of your theme using a justify font setting. Try wrapping that text in:
Dear Ronald,
Thanks for all the work on the plug-in, however we have yet to be able to properly install and track our podcast. Would you be willing to spend some consulting time helping us install the plug-in? If not you, maybe you could recommend someone.
Thanks,
James
The following piece of script is being written outside the script tags:
pageTracker._initData(); pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {}
Any ideas how to make this OK?
Thanks.
I have some dinosaurs who do not use itunes to pull podcasts and want a direct download option at my site. Is that possible with your podcasting plugin?
